Taking it a step further, the S&P 500 gained 19% for the calendar year the five times the 49ers won the Super Bowl, versus flat the year the Chiefs won

The U.S. airstrike that killed the top Iranian military commander last week was a major escalation in Mideast tensions.
In fact, it would be difficult to overstate the geopolitical significance of this action. Iran likely will retaliate, possibly with attacks on American military personnel overseas.

Turning the calendar from October to November brought more than trick-or-treaters, pumpkins, and leaves to rake. It also brought a wave of important economic updates that delivered more treats than tricks and helped the stock markets reach new highs.

U.S. stocks have hit another trade-induced summer storm
The S&P 500 Index fell 3% on Monday, its worst day since December 2018. The index is now about 5% from the recent record highs in U.S. stocks. This week has been the worst bout of volatility since May.
