Margaret and her Horse
Margaret, "Hoochie", Preston

ClearBridge Wealth Management once again partnered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation® to make one special girl’s WISH come true.  Margaret of Alpharetta has always dreamed of having her very own horse and now, through ClearBridge’s donation and several dedicated volunteers, Margaret got her horse for the holidays.  Margaret suffers from Acute Lymphatic Leukemia (“ALL”). ALL represents about 23 percent of cancer diagnoses among children 15 years of age and younger.  It occurs in about one of every 29,000 children in the United States each year.

“We knew we had a very unique opportunity to make this a very special holiday for a very deserving young girl” says Jill Thornton of Make-a-Wish, “but we needed funding to make it a reality.  ClearBridge answered the call to help without any hesitation.” “Every child dreams of getting a horse of their own, but being able to actually help make Margaret’s WISH come true was an opportunity that we could not refuse” said Preston Byers, President of ClearBridge Wealth Management. “We were really blessed to be a part of her Wish.”

The wish party took place at 3:00 on December 12th at The Equestrian Reserve in Alpharetta. Approximately 75 people attended to see Margaret get her horse.
